Join us for the opening of Wings and Origins, an inspiring exhibition that celebrates the journeys of a group of young Italians who came to Australia in 2024 through CO.AS.IT Melbourne’s renowned Language Assistants Program, soon marking its 30th year. Each assistant—from one of seven Italian universities—has spent nine transformative months in Victorian schools, enriching Italian language education and forging lasting connections.
Wings and Origins invites you to explore their unique stories, blending the expectations and dreams they brought from Italy with the newfound perspectives and experiences they’ll take back. Through these works, witness how life in Australia has influenced and reshaped their lives, leaving an indelible mark on each one.
Meet the language assistants in person as they share insights into their pieces, accompanying you throughout the exhibition and giving you a first-hand look into their works.
