The ongoing motivation behind my creative practice is to explore and develop an approach to reclaiming industrial materials and transforming them into something that is completely transcendental. I draw inspiration from nature and anthropogenic impact on the environment. Including the culture of disposability and overconsumption.
The previously handled objects I work with lose their original identity and evolve into a new life and meaning. The essence of change emerges in a conceptual and material metamorphosis by creating new resonances with surrounding places and viewers.
I believe art has the ability to connect people’s hearts on a deep level about the importance of attention to care and act, and we all need to contribute our shared journey to making the world a future-friendly place.
