Join us at the Tiny Art Gallery for the opening of an exhibition by visiting artist Salvo from Stockholm, Sweden. Salvo will present a new work, Liberation Fruit, inspired by the One Piece manga.Salvo says "I created this artwork because of its beautiful and intriguing form. I wanted to explore how different glazes and clay bodies might interact with the surface and transform through the firing process. Creating these fruits was also experimenting if I could merge my interest of 3D modelling and 3D printing to create press molds and use these for hand building with ceramics.
On a deeper level, I was inspired by what this object represents. In the One Piece manga, the manga that inspired this artwork, it symbolizes liberation. Liberation from the mind's own limits, from social constraints, and from oppressive governments and regimes. It's ultimately a story about joy, love, and friendship."
