We are excited to announce the launch of Exhibit Reads, an innovative book club that pairs compelling literature with our museum’s exhibits. This program is designed to deepen your understanding and enhance your connection to the themes showcased in our galleries. By blending the power of literature with objects on display, Exhibit Reads offers a unique immersive experience for all participants.
As part of this thrilling new program, we are delighted to feature the National Geographic exhibition Pristine Seas alongside Enric Sala’s thought-provoking book, The Nature of Nature: Why We Need the Wild. This unique pairing offers you the chance to delve into the beauty and importance of untouched marine ecosystems, drawing parallels between Sala’s insights and the stunning imagery of the exhibit. This will offer an opportunity to comprehensively understand the urgent need for marine conservation.
On Saturday, December 21st, we will host a gathering where participants can discuss the selected book’s themes with the museum’s education department and like-minded readers while experiencing the corresponding exhibit up close. This event will include light refreshments and snacks.
Whether you are a dedicated reader, a nature enthusiast, or simply looking for a new way to engage with our exhibits, Exhibit Reads offers a dynamic and enriching experience. Pick up your copy of The Nature of Nature: Why We Need the Wild at our Museum Store and dive into this adventure with the Haggin Museum.
