About this Event
We are excited to announce our second Open Sparring Day of 2024! We warmly invite fellow HEMAists to join us on Saturday 13th July at the University of Exeter Sports Park for an afternoon of free sparring in the beautiful West Country, followed by a communal meal and drinks (location TBC)
Our only requirements are that you are a member of a respectable HEMA club, that you (either personally or through your club) have public liability insurance, that you provide your own kit, and that you are over the age of 18.
The session will be four hours long (1-5pm) and will cost £15 per person (spectators are exempt). We have hired the whole sports hall (eight courts), so there will be more than enough space for everyone. The Streatham Campus Sports Park is walking distance (15-20 mins) from Exeter St. David's Train Station and is easily accessible by car with lots of space for parking. There are also plenty of facilities on the university campus for lunch, coffee, and other refreshments.
