About this Event
About the Swire Group & The Archives
Spanning over two centuries, the Swire Group has played a pivotal role in shaping key industries, including shipping, aviation, beverages, and real estate. From Cathay Pacific and Swire Coca-Cola to the residential landmark of Taikoo Shing, the Group's influence on everyday life in Hong Kong is both broad and deeply rooted. The Swire Archives, meticulously maintained in both London and Hong Kong, serve as the repository of the Group's collective corporate memories.
Recording more than 150 years of development in Hong Kong, the Archives tell the captivating Swire story from the 19th century to the present day. Located in Taikoo Place at the very site of the former Taikoo Sugar Refinery, the Swire Archives Centre features an environmentally-controlled repository, an innovative exhibition setup, and a multipurpose engagement space. Participants will gain unique insights into how the Swire Group has contributed to Hong Kong's growth through fascinating exhibitions and interactive historical displays.
