Excellence in the Arts is a day dedicated to celebrating outstanding youth advocacy and student achievement in the visual arts, digital arts, spoken & written word, and performing arts.Student and Youth Advocate honorees in the arts community will be recognized at Theatre Cedar Rapids on Sunday, March 9th.
Before entering the auditorium, attend a student-led gallery featuring digital and visual honoree pieces along with a video dedicated to the talented students throughout Eastern Iowa!
Enjoy performances from:
- Mira Gibbons and Janset Celik - talented local violinists
- Garrett Turner - Live artist returning to create a new piece
- Rock Academy - Eastern Iowa Arts Academy's amazing band
- Sarah King Woodwind Studio - over 40 woodwind players of all ages and skill levels
- Kevin Burt - Iowa's very own blues and jazz musician
Join us in celebrating the passion of our local arts community at Excellence in the Arts.
Location: Theatre Cedar Rapids
Tickets: Student admission is $10, Adult admission is $20
