About this Event
Examining Xenophobia Through Horror: Night of the Living Dead Screening
Sleepless Cinema, a new Toronto-based film club organization, is excited to announce its inaugural presentation, “Night of the Living Dead: Examining Xenophobia Through Horror,” on April 13th at 6:30 PM. This free event will include a screening of the feature film, a screening of Black Empanadas, a Canadian horror-comedy short film directed by Sid Santiago Zanforlin, and a panel discussion with Travis Wallace, Bobby Markov, and Mitchell Wilson.
Please be advised that this film features intense and gory scenes, and the subsequent panel will address topics like xenophobia and bigotry, which may be disturbing to some audience members.
Doors open at 6:30 pm; film screening starts at 7:00 pm!
Come join us for a spooky evening at the Toronto Public Library - Palmerston Branch* as we delve into the world of horror and social criticism!
