SPEAKING UP WITH CONFIDENCE TO REACH YOUR CAREER GOALS
An Elevate Women in Industry workshop facilitated by Marie Gervais, PhD
You have ideas worth hearing, experience worth recognizing, and goals worth pursuing. Yet knowing when—and how—to speak up at work can feel complicated, especially when self-doubt, pushback, or workplace dynamics enter the conversation.
Join Elevate Women in Industry for a practical, three-hour workshop designed to help women build confidence, navigate challenging conversations, and communicate with greater intention.
Together, we’ll explore three foundations:
• Self-awareness: Strengthen your inner confidence through emotional regulation and a deeper understanding of your responses.
• Awareness of others: Recognize the social, cultural, and gender dynamics that influence workplace interactions—and identify where you have room to act.
• Strategy: Practice thoughtful questions and well-timed interruptions that help you contribute, gain respect, and influence decisions.
You’ll learn approaches to staying grounded under pressure, communicating with kindness and honesty, recognizing undermining behaviours, and creating opportunities for collaboration.
Whether you’re contributing in meetings, navigating leadership challenges, or taking the next step in your career, this workshop offers space to practice speaking with clarity and confidence.
