The four artists participating in this exhibit represent different aspects of the contemporary art scene today. They explore various styles and approaches and try to stay true to their feelings and aspirations. Iliyan and Jordan tend to fall more into the abstract, while Kiril and Vassi prefer to combine the latter with slightly more realism. The exhibition gives a unique view of the creative process and the philosophical aspects of art, each and every artist strives for.
Kiril MANASIEV is a Bulgarian born artist who lives in Chicago. He has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognition for his artistic talent in France, Bulgaria and North Macedonia.
Member of the group Bulgarian artists abroad – Chicago and has actively exhibited in Europe and America.

Jordan IVANOV is originally from Sofia, but lives in New Orleans. Louisiana. He works as a production artists for the Mardi Gras festival and has participated in numerous art shows throughout Europe and America. Member of the group Bulgarian artists abroad – Chicago.

Vassi VASEVSKI lives and works in Chicago, where he teaches in the Art and Architecture Department of Harold Washington college. He has been a part of multiple exhibitions in Europe and the US. One of the founding members of the group Bulgarian artists abroad – Chicago.

Iliyan IVANOV is Bulgarian/American artist who lives in New York city. Iliyan Ivanov, MD, also specializes in Child Psychiatry. He is Site Division Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Morningside and full Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Although this in no way limits his artistic purpose and growth, it certainly has been as much of a tool as his paint and hand brush.
Iliyan received his artistic education at National Academy of Design, School of Fine Arts, New York, NY and George Yanakiev Art Studio, Burgas, Bulgaria. His work was exhibited in various galleries and museums in the United States, Europe and Bulgaria.
Iliyan uses fluid and spontaneous compositions to explore themes of creativity and perseverance through abstract imagery and expressive brushwork. He experiments with texture and media to convey feelings of motion and conflict by contrasting color and light. The resulting works bare figurative references mixed with gestural strokes that attempt to offer original interpretations on the subject of art relevance to personal and social themes.
