Evolution of Emergency Services Land Mobile Radio Networks
The presentation will provide an overview of the current scope and technology of the SA Government Radio Network (GRN) including mobile radio, paging, voice recording and mobile data. Peter will describe the current technology and how the Emergency Services Radio networks differ from mobile phones in functionality, reliability and coverage. The evolutionary changes for the next system update; and efforts towards a compatible national network will de described.

Director of Public Safety Solutions, Attorney-General's Department, SA Government
Peter Sinclair has more than 30 years of experience in public safety communications and emergency management, currently serving as the Director of Public Safety Solutions in the South Australian Government. Peter’s current role involves overseeing the State’s emergency aviation capability, the South Australian Government Radio Network, and the State’s Triple Zero call receipt and dispatch systems. Peter represents South Australia on several national committees including Triple Zero governance and the Public Safety Mobile Broadband program.
