Evidentiary Foundations Skill Workshop

This six-hour interactive workshop will cover:

• Michigan rules of evidence and caselaw regarding evidentiary foundations
• preparing to admit evidence at trial
• live practice in laying foundations for various evidence and witnesses
• dealing with objections
• making objections to government evidence

This program is being offered via Zoom on Thursday, June 26th, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. There will be a lunch break from noon to 1:00 PM. CLE credits will only be awarded to attorneys who complete all 6 hours of instruction.

Audio and video capability are required for this training, and participants will be expected to be on video at all times during the training. The use of a laptop or desktop computer is highly recommended.

Participants will earn 6 hours of CLE credit for participation in the full program, and the program will apply toward the skills training requirements of Standard 1. Again, CLE credits will only be awarded to attorneys who complete the entire program.

To be eligible for participation in the program, you must be a licensed attorney representing indigent defendants within the State of Michigan.

This program is limited to 12 participants. A waitlist will be compiled once the program is full.
