2025 marks the 50th anniversary of Dmitri Shostakovich's death. Is there a more beautiful tribute to this illustrious composer than a recital by Evgeny Kissin? For the third time, this master pianist comes to Flagey and in this special programme, Kissin performs Shostakovich's grand 'Second (and last) Sonata'. Also on the programme are three of the famous '24 Preludes and Fugues' from 'Opus 87', which the composer wrote with the music of Bach and Chopin in mind. And let these be precisely Kissin's favourite composers with whom he opens his dazzling performance.
