Join us for a relaxed Slow Date at The Social in Chelmsford — a coffee shop by day that transforms into a chic cocktail bar by night. Our Slow Date experience is all about genuine, relaxed connections: you’ll spend a few minutes talking one-on-one with each person at your table, then rotate so you get the chance to meet multiple people throughout the evening. It’s fun, easy, and low-pressure — perfect if you want to enjoy meaningful conversation without the usual dating awkwardness.

As the night unfolds, we’ll also have access to The Courtyard next door, which comes alive with music and a lively atmosphere — perfect if you want to keep the evening going. Whether you’re new to Slow Dating or a seasoned pro, this is a fun, sociable way to meet like-minded singles and enjoy a great night out.

The format is simple and easy: you’ll be placed into small groups of 4–5 people, with around eight minutes to chat before we gently rotate the groups. This gives everyone the chance to meet each other naturally, without pressure or awkwardness.

Once the slow dating rounds are finished, the evening opens up — stay for a drink, continue conversations that sparked your interest, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
