Everyone Orchestra is a conducted, fully spontaneous explosion of live music created by a rotating cast of world renowned musicians and led by conductor Matt Butler. Each show is 100% unique, as a carefully curated lineup of performers is guided through high energy, creative, danceable grooves and beautiful songs that you won't believe are created on the fly under the creative leadership of Matt’s cues and improvised whiteboard directives.
Over 20 years, with more than 1,000 different musicians joining Butler, EO continues to create in completely unique ways. Unlike other one-off “super jams”, Everyone Orchestra does not borrow from other artists’ song lists, but rather draws on the funky, jazzy, soulful, electronic, and Americana roots of the musicians who come together in a consistently stunning display of raw talent and imaginative improvisation. Having conducted members of bands ranging from the Grateful Dead to The Meters, Ween, King Crimson, Phish, Jane's Addiction, String Cheese Incident and hundreds more, Matt Butler has mastered the art of drawing the best and most multi-dimensional talents of performers from all genres and backgrounds, pulling the sounds together in an extraordinary cohesive music experience that you don't want to miss.
Scott Law is a Portland, Oregon based guitarist, singer and songwriter dedicating his life to music through live performance, improvisation and his own compositions. As a solo artist and well-traveled accompanist, Scott’s intuitive musicianship, articulate tone and deep repertoire welcome the unpredictable with exhilarating results.
Law’s sound and style are well-spoken of rock, jazz, blues and folk music forms with “The reliability of a musician you can always trust… a continuator of the (timeless) scene that exploded in San Francisco in the mid-60's, and who, apart from being an extraordinary guitarist and a warm singer, always gives off a good vibe. Mentored by extensive stage experience with bassist Phil Lesh of The Grateful Dead, Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band) and pioneering violinist Darol Anger (Republic Of Strings), Law’s quick ear and keen knack for elevating the potency of any collaboration creates pathways for audience connection. Whether curating unique cover takes or his own songs and instrumentals onstage, his joy for creating sound and bringing people together radiates.
