About this Event

Everyday Solace Foundation Mocktail Magic

A Mixer for BIPOC Therapists

You deserve spaces where you do not have to translate yourself before you can connect.

We have created one for you.

Everyday Solace Foundation Mocktail Magic is a gathering for BIPOC therapists, social workers, counselors, psychologists, students, and other mental health professionals to connect, build community, and be fully seen.

Mental health professionals often talk about the unique experience of practicing as clinicians of color, and they know firsthand how isolating that can become. Many of them are one of few clinicians of color in their workplaces. They may be expected to serve as therapists, advocates, educators, cultural translators, and representatives, sometimes all within the same room.

They support clients navigating systems that were never designed to protect them while many of you are also navigating, challenging, and trying to transform those same systems yourselves.

Liberation psychology reminds us that healing cannot be separated from culture, history, power, identity, and community. Your lived experiences are part of your clinical wisdom. They shape how you understand safety, family, trauma, belonging, resistance, and what healing can look like.

Everyday Solace Foundation Mocktail Magic is an opportunity to make meaningful connections with other Black mental health professionals. Come network, build relationships, share resources, exchange referrals and ideas, and talk honestly about the realities of the field. Come meet a potential collaborator, mentor, supervisor, referral partner, or friend. Come have a mocktail, a laugh, or a grievance or two with people who understand the layers of this work.

This is a social gathering rather than a formal training or traditional networking event. There is no pressure to prepare an elevator pitch, perform professionalism, or have everything figured out. We are creating a warm, intentional space for you to connect with other clinicians and professionals.

Representation matters, and clinicians of color also need community, collaboration, opportunity, rest, and spaces where our cultural knowledge is recognized as knowledge.

You deserve spaces where you do not have to translate yourselves before you can connect.

We have created one for you.
