Everyday Herbs: Supporting Immune Health
About this Event
As the weather changes and cold and flu season rolls in, this month's Everyday Herbs class is all about understanding your immune system and the herbs traditionally used to support it.
Join Certified Clinical Herbalist Sheila of YaMaya's Gift for a FREE, beginner-friendly conversation about immune health, seasonal wellness and practical herbal preparations you can make at home.
We'll explore herbs such as elderberry, echinacea, ginger, garlic, thyme and more, including what makes each herb different and why “immune support” doesn't mean taking every immune herb you can find.
We'll talk about:
- Everyday habits that support healthy immune function
- Traditional uses of common immune-supportive herbs
- Elderberry vs. echinacea and when each is traditionally used
- Teas, syrups, decoctions and other simple preparations
- Building a practical cold-season herbal cabinet
- Basic herbal safety, precautions and when home care isn't enough
And as always with Everyday Herbs, questions and conversation are encouraged. We're learning together, not by sitting through a lecture.
