About this Event
THE GARDEN DISTRICT BOOK SHOP WELCOMES CHEF JEREMY SEWALLAND ERIN BYERS MURRAY FOR COOKBOOK SIGNING ON MARCH 9
The Garden District Book Shop is thrilled to welcome renowned Boston chef Jeremy Sewall to the shop on March 9 to celebrate his cookbook Everyday Chef: Simple Dishes for Family and Friends. His co-author and editor-in-chief of The Local Palate Erin Byers Murray will also be joining him for the evening.
Sewall’s recipes elevate home cooking by sharing a chef’s perspective: sourcing seasonally, adding key ingredients to bump up flavor, and utilizing professional techniques. Starting with a look at what’s inside his own kitchen and pantry—the essential condiments, spices, and equipment—this cookbook is organized by chapters covering the meals of the day and more. Dishes presented in inspiring photography include grilled shrimp with papaya and avocado, roasted parsnip soup, and cumin-roasted sweet potatoes. Also provided is a how-to section that covers making pasta and cooking eggs. These approachable recipes will delight families who appreciate the art of home cooking.
The evening will begin at 6:00 PM. There will be an oyster bar set up at Bar Epilogue for all guests to enjoy. Sewall and Murray will then sit down to discuss their book and answer guest’s questions. Afterwards, they will personalize copies of their book.
The event is free and open to the public but interested parties are encouraged to RSVP and purchase their book ahead of time on Eventbrite.
