What if deciding where to eat also involved making a difference in your community?
Everybody Eats Week is a way to bring awareness to food insecurity right here in Cedar Rapids. In the state of Iowa, 1 in 8 adults and 1 in 6 children struggle with hunger. Those who are able to give a little extra can help feed those in need right here in Cedar Rapids.
During the week of Aug. 23-27, Groundswell Cafe is looking to raise $1,500 for the pay-it-forward fund to enable us to provide more healthy meals at no cost to those in need.
We are also featuring a special Bananas Foster French Toast where $2 of every order will go to the pay-it-forward fund.
By eating at Groundswell Cafe and tipping or donating to the pay-it-forward fund, you’re supporting our mission of ensuring everybody eats.
