About this Event
The Connecticut Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity and Opportunity, is pleased invite you to join us for our annual literacy forum, Every Voice, Every Reader: Advancing Literacy for Multilingual Learners.
This important conversation will bring together families, educators, community members, and state leaders from across Connecticut to focus on how we can strengthen literacy outcomes and better support multilingual learners in every community.
The forum will create space for a meaningful discussion about both the opportunities and challenges facing multilingual learners in Connecticut. Through student and parent voices, participants will hear firsthand about lived experiences, barriers, and the supports that make a difference. The program will also highlight classroom strategies, promising practices, and current efforts to improve literacy instruction and success for multilingual learners.
We will conclude with reflections from legislative and agency leaders on the role that public policy, partnership, and shared commitment can play in advancing equitable literacy outcomes statewide.
This event will take place at the Legislative Office Building (LOB) Room 1C.
