Every Second Counts , Yet Nothing Matters - HOPLA @ Fringe Festival
About this Event
Every Second Counts, Yet Nothing Matters
HOPLA — New Orleans
Saturday, November 14, 2026 | 6–9 PM
Bywater Wonderland | 3405 Royal Street, New Orleans
For one evening during New Orleans Fringe Festival, HOPLA, a New York-based artist-run exhibition project, presents Every Second Counts, Yet Nothing Matters.
Featuring works by Max Herrlander and Bilal Amjad, the exhibition brings together two distinct artistic practices in an unconventional setting.
Herrlander's Wisdomhairs (2026), sculptural objects composed of human hair, teeth, and resin, meet Amjad's Khusrow Discovers Pamela Bathing (2025), a hand-knotted wool carpet.
Taking place in the courtyard of Bywater Wonderland, the exhibition moves beyond the traditional gallery setting, inviting unexpected encounters between art, architecture, and the people who pass through.
