About this Event
Event summary
A welcoming workshop for anyone curious about entrepreneurship, exploring ideas, or wondering whether enterprise could be for them.
Facilitated by Richard Calvert, this session explores how diverse identities, perspectives, experiences, and challenges can become sources of creativity, confidence, and impact. You do not need a business idea or prior experience to attend — just curiosity and an openness, to explore what entrepreneurship could look like for you.
About the series
This workshop is part of the BU Inclusive Entrepreneurship Series: Explore, Create, Connect, an interactive programme supporting early-stage ideas, inclusive pathways into entrepreneurship, and opportunities to build confidence, connect, and take ideas forward.
This workshop is part of the Inclusive Entrepreneurship series and is supported by Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF).
About this session
Entrepreneurship is not only for people with perfect pitches, big networks, or business backgrounds. It can begin with a personal experience, a problem you care about, a community need, or a different way of seeing the world.
In this practical and inclusive session, participants will explore how lived experience can shape ideas, confidence, and future pathways. Through discussion, reflection, and connection, the workshop will help participants recognise the value of their own perspective and identify possible next steps.
Come as you are. Leave with confidence, connection, and a clearer sense of what you could build.
Who is this session for?
This session is open to everyone.
It is especially suitable for anyone curious about entrepreneurship who may not see themselves in the traditional image of an entrepreneur, including people from underrepresented backgrounds and those with diverse lived experiences.
No business idea or prior experience is needed — just curiosity.
