Every Interest Has a Story: How Curiosity Becomes Journalism

Think journalism is just newspapers? Think again! This workshop for teens explores how everyday curiosity can become storytelling through newsletters, photo essays, zines and more. Learn how journalists think, ask questions and develop ideas, then explore different formats to find the best fit for what you want to create. Whether you’re interested in sports, fashion, science, video games or something else, your curiosity can become the starting point for a story worth sharing. You’ll leave with your own idea and a fresh way of looking at the world around you. No writing or journalism experience required. This program takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 8 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Library Multipurpose Room.
