About this Event

Join us for vegan food + the screening of "Meat Me Halfway," with director & Reducetarian co-founder, Brian Kateman.

About the film:

Shouldn’t there be some middle ground for people looking to make a change without totally upending their lives?

Leader of the Reducetarian movement, Brian Kateman explores this issue through the lens of his own personal decision to reduce eating meat. Grappling with how to sort through conflicting advice, Brian seeks a practical path forward. MEAT ME HALFWAY is a groundbreaking investigative journey that seeks to create some common ground at the dinner table.

Film immediately followed by a discussion panel and Q&A with:
  • Brian Kateman: Director & Co-Founder, The Reducetarian Foundation
  • Jess Chipkin: Founder, Crate Free USA
  • Cliff McConville: Owner, All Grass Farms
  • Hosted by Mike Nowak, Chicago Radio Personality

Vegan food will be provided by Kale My Name, Chicago Diner, St. Maarten, and more.

Factory farming plays a major role in the mistreatment of animals around the world and specifically in our country. Whether you reduce your meat intake, buy direct from local farms, or go plant-based… everyone can play a role in ending factory farming.

This doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

It’s about making more responsible food choices. It’s about rejecting factory farm meat … reducing meat consumption … It’s about holding every grocery store, restaurant, and farmer accountable to humane animal welfare practices. It’s about trying alternative food options.

Every bite counts.

Attend our screening and panel discussion and learn your options.
