Event-driven architecture with microservices and C#
Creating a strong backend for modern applications is more than throwing buzz words.
About this Event
This meetup will present the What, Why, and How we built Cycode’s microservices-based event-driven system with C# and NET.
Lecture #1Monolith vs Microservices
Ilia Shkolyar - Technology Lead (Cycode)

Any developer will say that monolithic architecture belongs to the past and microservices are the way to go. But is it always true? In this talk, we will go over the trade-offs between monolithic and microservices architectures, when to use which and common pitfalls.

Lecture #2Why do we love C#?
Maor Davidzon - R&D Director (Cycode)

One of the first decisions every new start-up R&D team has to make is which development frameworks to use from the get-go. In Cycode, we chose .NET with C#. Join us as we introduce their strengths from our perspective, break some myths and see why every skeptic developer that joins our team quickly concurrs.

Lecture #3Useful patterns in event driven architecture
Nir Amara - R&D Backend Team Leader (Cycode)

The rising popularity of microservices based event-driven architecture introduced a lot of new patterns to solve different problems development organizations are facing on a daily basis. In this talk, we will review some of the useful patterns we used to solve challenges throughout Cycode’s platform.

Lecture #4The importance of distributed tracing in Microservices
Yosef Arbiv, R&D Team Leader at Epsagon (ET&I - Cisco)

The importance of distributed tracing in Microservices Microservices and event-driven architectures provide us tons of benefits, however, the observability becomes a pain to every developer on their day-to-day tasks. As their complexity grows, sometimes it is impossible to understand how processes flow in the architecture, which makes troubleshooting or optimizations complicated. In this talk I’m going to share techniques and methods to observe such systems, using distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, and some real-world examples.

See you there :)
