This evening's presentation for educators focuses on the exhibition Farm to Table: Food and Identity in the Age of Impressionism exploring the intersections of art, gastronomy, and national identity in fin-de-siècle France. The exhibition showcases more than 60 paintings and sculptures, including the work of Claude Monet, Eva Gonzalès, Victor Gilbert, Paul Gauguin, Jules Dalou, and Vincent van Gogh, artists who examined the nation’s unique relationship with food. Participants will enjoy dinner, a presentation, and a docent-guided tour of the exhibition. For each program attended, educators earn CEUs and 1–2 graduate credits, which are available for an additional fee.

Evenings for Educators is the museum’s monthly professional development program for teachers. Through the lens of the museum’s collection and exhibitions, Evenings for Educators supports all subjects taught in the classroom. It also encourages a STREAM approach, as well as Twenty-First Century Learning strategies. The program is offered for teachers of all grade levels and disciplines, art appreciation volunteers, pre-service education majors, teaching artists, as well as community and museum educators.
