Evening with Olly Lyon (with support act Marcel Heijnen)

Join us for an intimate evening of original music - the best kind - on Sunday 29 March, 4pm. The Godown will host for the first time singer-songwriter Olly Lyon who will perform a set of original music, accompanied by Clym Stock-Williams on cello.

Hailing from a musical family, Olly Lyon’s classical roots can be felt throughout his music. His work tackles wide-ranging themes: the pain of lost love, loneliness and depression, the chaos of drug abuse, the hope of recovery and the joy of fatherhood. Olly is now busy recording his debut album with British music producer Robin Axford, building upon the symbiosis they developed during the creation of his EP while both of them were living in Moscow.

The evening will be opened by the Godown's very own Marcel Heijnen whose preview set of his original songs will also be joined by frequent collaborators Robbert Pas (drums) and Erwin Smulders (bass).

Doors will open at 3.30pm, enough time for you to grab a seat, a drink, and settle in our cosy space. See you there!
