I fell in love with Columbia on foot.
When I was in college, I lived downtown and spent hours wandering the city with nowhere in particular to be. I knew every alley, every shortcut, every brick street, every building I'd never noticed from a car. There's something different about a city when you experience it at walking pace.
That's what Evening Stroll Society is.
Once a month, we'll spend an evening exploring a different part of Columbia together. We'll wander, stop when something catches our attention, admire old buildings, peek down alleys, talk, and take the long way around.
2026 Walks:
- July 27 – Ninth Street / Downtown
- August 24 – The Stockyards / Arcade District
- September 28 – Downtown West
- October 26 – North Village / North Village Park
Expect about a mile of easy walking over 60–90 minutes.
Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Bring water, sunscreen if we'll still be in the sun, and bug spray when the mosquitoes are out.
Donation-based.
