Evening Ride out to Highfields Lake

Still easing ourselves into the evening rides, this is a nice and simple 7 mile ride for women only. The route is mostly flat and we'll be taking it at a nice and steady pace, using cycle lanes, canal towpaths and some easy off-road sections. It will still be dark at 6pm, so please remember to bring your lights!

We welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back!

You’ll be in safe hands, we’re experienced ride leaders who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.

This ride is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. The session is funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.

You won’t need anything fancy, just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help enable you to join this ride.
