First Gong Bath of 2027 – A Little Breathing Space
New year, back to routine? Give yourself something lovely to look forward to.
The Christmas decorations have all come down, the leftovers are hopefully distant memories, and everyday life is already making it feel like Christmas never happened!
January is traditionally the longest month of the year (approximately 700 days, give or take!). The excitement of Christmas has passed, the days are still short, and spring can feel a very long way away.
Perhaps you’re racing into the new year with a list of resolutions and goals you’re determined to achieve. Or perhaps you’re already feeling as though you should be doing more, achieving more or making changes, and wondering whether you’re somehow falling behind.
Wherever you find yourself, why not make a little time for yourself?
Join me at Essential Energies for the first evening gong bath of 2027. It’s an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life for ninety minutes, settle into a cosy space and simply rest.
No expectations, nothing to achieve and no experience needed. Just permission to pause, breathe and be exactly as you are.
And perhaps making time for yourself can be one of the things you carry forward into the new year — not another resolution to tick off your list, but a little habit of looking after yourself along the way.
Many people leave feeling deeply relaxed, calmer, clearer and more connected to themselves than when they arrived. For some, it’s the best night’s sleep they’ve had in a long time.
What is a Gong Bath?
Despite the name, there isn’t any water involved!
A gong bath is an immersive sound relaxation experience. You’ll lie or sit comfortably while you’re surrounded by the soothing sounds and resonant vibrations of symphonic gongs, singing bowls, drums and other carefully chosen instruments.
This isn’t simply listening to relaxing music. As the instruments are played, the layers of sound and vibration are created live, constantly changing and evolving throughout the session. It’s an experience that is felt as well as heard, making every gong bath completely unique.
Rather than listening to a performance, you’re simply invited to relax and allow the sounds to wash over you in whatever way feels right. No two gong baths are ever the same, because no two people are ever the same.
A Small and Welcoming Group
My gong baths are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of seven people, creating a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
You can choose where you feel most comfortable, whether that’s on the massage couch, one of the gravity chairs, the reclining chair, the sofa or on your own yoga mat.
What Should I Bring?
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring anything that helps you feel warm and cosy. Most people bring a blanket, cushion, warm socks and a bottle of water.
Can a Gong Bath Help Me?
People come to gong baths for many different reasons.
Some simply want time to relax, while others are looking for better sleep, a calmer mind or a chance to step away from the pressures of everyday life.
Many of my regular attendees tell me they find the sessions particularly helpful if they’re living with fibromyalgia or ADHD, navigating grief or anxiety, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands. Others enjoy the opportunity to ease away from everyday aches and pains and leave feeling lighter, calmer and more rested.
Every person’s experience is unique, and that’s exactly as it should be.
Booking
The investment for an evening gong bath is £20 per person.
Booking online is recommended, as places are limited and often fill quickly. You’ll receive confirmation of your booking straight away.
If you would prefer to pay by bank transfer or cash, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to arrange this.
Whether it’s your first gong bath or your fiftieth, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
Give yourself something lovely to look forward to this January. I’d love to welcome you to Essential Energies.
