Following the success of his debut full-length album, Hop on the Bandwagon, Evan brings his unique "folkish-rock-esque" style to BMCA’s intimate Gale Jackson Theatre. Described as a vocal blend reminiscent of Ray LaMontagne and Jack Johnson, Blackerby’s music explores the intersections of life’s beauty, the passage of time, and finding hope in the midst of upheaval. Evan is a recent winner of the Not Your Average Folk Contest as part of the North Carolina Folk Festival, and has made appearances on the Martha Bassett Show.
