WRIGHT& GRAINGER - About the Company
"Euphoric gig-theatre bursting with music, energy and purpose" THE STAGE Wright&Grainger make heartfelt, honest shows with storytelling, music and spoken word. We perform at UK and international festivals, at mid-scale receiving houses and studios, and in intimate rural touring schemes. We've played at Latitude Festival, Summerhall, Mumbai International Literature Festival (supported by British Council), Sydney Opera House, York Theatre Royal, Norwich Playhouse, and a bunch of village halls across the UK.
We love it all.
We've been developing a network of partner producers globally to tour our work into different territories. Successful partner tours include New Zealand (Eleanor Strathern), Australia (Tom Oliver Productions), India (QTP) and our UK and US commercial producer, Olivier award-winning Molly Morris (Come from Away).
Al and Phil's work previous to Wright&Grainger includes the immersive Great Gatsby, which played in London for five years, and transferred to New York, and the cirtically acclaimed company Belt Up. Still based in North Yorkshire where they live five minutes down the road from one another, Al & Phil have been playing gigs together since they were 14.
