About the Festival:
The European Union Office in San Francisco is pleased to launch the 2nd Edition of the festival, Ode to Joy: European CineFest. We are welcoming 16 films representing 17 EU countries in collaboration with Consulates and Cultural organizations. The festival brings together European cinema, culture, creativity, and dialogue in a shared festival experience for Bay Area audiences.
About the Film:
After the death of her parents, eight-year-old Violette begins a new chapter with her uncle Régis, a caretaker at the Palace of Versailles.
As they get to know each other, they build a heartwarming bond filled with humour and everyday adventures.
This charming, animated film celebrates friendship, resilience and the joy of finding family in unexpected places.
