Euchre Night @ Something in the Water Toronto (New & Experienced Gameplay)

Whether you're a seasoned player or new to card games, this event offers something for all levels of experienced gameplay. Come as a group or solo and we can help pair you with a community table. Our events are a great way to connect with members of local communities and are perfect for folks arriving in Toronto looking to make new friends.

What is Euchre? Euchre is a team-based trick-taking card game in a competition to reach 10 points first. The rules themselves are straightforward; however, the more someone plays, the more their choice of cards to play subtly communicates what is in their hand to their partner and opponents, making the game fascinating to play at any level of experience.

General Admission Tickets and Private Tables: Thanks to the generosity of Something in the Water, we have a number of tables to play the most in-theme Canadian game, Euchre! Tickets for this event include access to the venue and a game expert who can help with player introductions, coaching new players, and organizing tables for friendly competition. Tickets are priced and sold per person and for teams.

Changeling Membership Admission: Our Changeling Membership includes event discounts for our paid subscribers. After just two events in a month, our members save, with a potential for over $80 in savings monthly! Each Membership ticket must have a single individual corresponding Patreon membership subscription or a temporary membership pass. Proof of subscription will be required at the door.

About : A curious beverage company based in Toronto. Their location in Liberty Village is the flagship brewery and taproom so you can experience the delicious brews fresh on-site. The vibe is intentionally set to be more Barcelona Cafe than Munich Beer Hall. For every can, five cents are donated to Swim Drink Fish supporting clean water across Canada.

About : We are a collective of board game instructors who host both public and private game experiences in Toronto and together create game content for YouTube. Our mission is to help folks find the right games for their tables and to create safe, accessible, and welcoming community spaces to play games and make new friends along the way.

Info: As players arrive, they will be matched up as teams and at tables to compete in friendly competition. While waiting for everyone to settle in, and give opportunity to order from the menu, players can do a few warm-up hands to start. If joining the new player tables, we'll go over an explanation of the rules of the game all together, touching a little bit on strategy, which will be then covered more in depth while players are being coached during general gameplay.

Info: New players will be sorted into teams to play a mixture of 2, 3, and 4 player games while coached. Competition tables will also kick off and play multiple rounds of the game to see who will be the ultimate champions of the night and take the top of the leader board.

Info: The games will come to an end, and we will compare final scores. Who will take the bragging rights for the night!?

Info: The event might have ended, but the venue is open till 10PM! So stay back to chat with new friends over a final round of drinks. Please help us return the space to SITW by clearing your tables and packing up by 9:45PM. Thank you.
