About this Event

This workshop offers an opportunity to explore some issues of ethical research with refugee children, youth and families. Your attention will be drawn to the tensions, dilemmas and conundrums that researchers encounter in such work.

In this workshop, you will learn about:

  • Foundational debates
  • Dimensions of research ethics
  • Distinctive features of research with refugee children, youth and families
  • Current and potential institutional and individual responses

This workshop will be led by:

Mehrunnisa Ali, Professor, School of Early Childhood Studies, Toronto Metropolitan University

Our workshops are often oversubscribed, and we maintain a waiting list. We ask that you please cancel your registration if you can no longer attend. Tickets are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding.

CERC Migration supports graduate students and emerging research scholars with research training opportunities. The Migration Research Gyms provide intensive workshops that provide specialized methodology and professional development training. The small class setting emphasizes mentorship and hands-on learning.
