Ethereal Skies presents: TAAHLIAH & Soria

After our first event hosting Dark0 & Capricorn. We are so delighted to welcome one of our favourite artists from the last few years - TAAHLIAH for her irish debut.

TAAHLIAH will be joining us in the Racket Space on Thursday, December 22nd along with support from Dublin's Soria and our own Sean Murray.

TAAHLIAH made her name as a DJ in the queer scenes of Glasgow and Berlin and since then become a formidable producer traversing the scenes and sounds of techno, hard dance and experimental pop.

Since her debut album release on untitled (recs) last year, TAAHLIAH has been making waves at numerous parties and festivals across the UK and Europe such as 'Teletech', Slam's 'Pressure', 'XXL', 'Dour Festival', VTSS's 'For Your Entertainment', Shlømo's 'Welcome Back Devil' & Maya Jane Coles 'HE.SHE.THEY' to name a few.

Fresh off the back of an explosive Boiler Room debut racking up nearly half a million debuts, TAAHLIAH has also just won the UK AIM Award in the category of 'Best Independent EP/Mixtape' and has been nominated for DJ Mag UK's Breakthrough DJ of 2022.

TAAHLIAH has been confidently cementing her position amongst the main players of the electronic music landscape. She has earned extensive praise from her peers including Mary Anne Hobbs, VTSS, Loraine James, and Sherelle – who have collaborated with her both on stage and in the studio.

Heralded as a breakthrough artist by a range of tastemakers including DJ Mag, Mixmag, and BBC Radio One's Jaguar. TAAHLIAH is also the first black trans artist to be nominated and win in two categories at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards – followed by Angelica being shortlisted for Scottish Album of The Year Awards. Recently, she has been constantly releasing a wealth of boundary breaking tracks since her debut album and is currently hosting her radio residency on BBC Radio 6 Music as part of Mary Anne Hobbs 'All Queens' series.

On main support for TAAHLIAH, we have Dublin's own Soria. Soria has earned herself a solid reputation as a DJ with her trance infused and genre bending sets and as a producer and live performer and has become one of the most exciting experimental talents in Ireland in recent years. Soria's musical influences range from ambient to 90s trance, hard house and pop, all of which can be heard through her unique musical output.

With recent appearances playing extended sets in the Izakaya Basement, at parties such as 'Dublin Modular' playing live and DJing at 'Thrust', 'Club Comfort', 'Honeypot', supporting I.Jordan, and international appearances in Berlin, Prague and Lisbon, there is absolutely no slowing down for her. Soria is also a resident of the Dublin queer electronic party 'Strawberries'. Soria is due to launch her new 'Storegga' EP with a live performance at All City Records with Skin & Blister Club. Which should not be missed!
