Albuquerque Civic Chorus will be presenting Lux Aeterna by Morten Lauridsen. Lux Aeterna or "Light Eternal" is a beautiful piece that Lauridsen composed in response to his mother’s final illness and found great personal comfort and solace in setting to music these timeless and wondrous words about Light, a universal symbol of illumination at all levels - spiritual, artistic, and intellectual.We will also be singing some familiar (and maybe not so familiar) carols, hymns, Hanukkah and secular Christmas songs.
