Explore this 500-year old printmaking process using contemporary techniques! This pilot workshop focuses on creating intaglio prints from copper plates and will explore basic image-making techniques including plate preparation, hard ground line etching, and edition printing. Artists will learn in-depth processes in etching—leaving with a fully-processed plate, a suite of prints and all the knowledge to continue an etching practice in the Arts Council studios. All levels welcome. No experience necessary.
