Please join us while Brittany G. Gloersen discusses: "Estate Planning is not always guardianship-proof"
It is important to understand when guardianship is necessary for the elderly, because not only is guardianship an expensive process, it also can be very disruptive to the lives of the entire family. A guardianship may be necessary when estate planning documents and family members cannot protect incapacitated persons from financial exploitation, abuse, or self-neglect.
Brittany is a shareholder at Landis Graham French, P.A. in DeLand.
A graduate of Stetson University School of Law, Ms. Gloersen's area of concentration are elder law, guardianships, estate planning and probate. She can assist clients cheerfully and capably in matters regarding Veterans' Benefits, Medicaid benefits, guardianship of minors and elders and life care planning.
