Estate Planning Info Session 🏡

In honor of National Estate Planning Awareness Month, Animal Friends Alliance is hosting a free Estate Planning Info Session with local attorney Karen Fischer of the Law Firm of Karen VDH Fischer LLC. Karen will share general information about estate planning topics such as:
• Why it’s important to plan ahead and “ask what if?”
• How to ease the burden on loved ones through preparation
• The meaning and value of leaving a legacy of love
• When probate should (and shouldn’t) be avoided
• Key considerations when creating a trust—and what not to include
• Where to begin when someone you love passes away
This session is ideal for those just starting to explore estate planning and looking to better understand their options. (If you already have an estate attorney, this session may not be for you.) The evening will begin with a tour of the shelter at 5 PM, followed by the presentation from 5:30 – 7 PM in our conference room. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
