About this Event
August is National Make-A-Will Month—a great time to take meaningful steps toward securing your legacy and supporting the causes you care about. Join us for an informative and engaging Estate Planning Seminar in our air-conditioned classroom at the beautiful Theodore Payne Foundation.
Enjoy light refreshments and a welcoming atmosphere as we hear from estate planning professionals (and native plant gardeners) Joey Farewell and Ellen Farewell, along with TPF’s own Katie Tilford and Amy Greenwood, who will share how your gift can make a lasting impact. The evening will conclude with a hands-on seed sowing activity—a symbolic way to plant the seeds of your legacy.
This free workshop will cover the essentials of estate planning, including:
- The difference between a will and a trust
- Avoiding probate to keep your estate out of court
- Tax-saving strategies to protect your assets, no matter the size of your estate
- Caring for those you love, even after you're gone
- How your legacy can support causes you care about
