Estate Planning 101 at Mission Trails
About this Event
Estate Planning 101 at Mission Trails
What does an estate plan actually include? How can it help your family avoid probate? And how do you make sure the people, places and causes you care about are included in your plans?
Join the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation (MTRP Foundation) for a free, in-person Estate Planning 101 presentation with Amanda-Dawn Natalia, Esq., a California-licensed business and estate attorney with more than 15 years of experience.
Amanda-Dawn will break down the basics of estate planning in approachable, easy-to-understand terms, including:
• What probate is and why people may want to avoid it
• Wills and trusts
• Powers of attorney
• Health care planning documents
• What goes into an estate plan
• When and why an estate plan should be updated
• Steps you can take to get started
The presentation will be followed by time for questions.
Amanda-Dawn also has a personal connection to Mission Trails. As an East County resident, she has spent time exploring the park and describes it as a place that is “near and dear” to her. She values having such an extraordinary natural space accessible to the surrounding community and is passionate about supporting its continued preservation. She is also a certified California Naturalist, bringing an added appreciation for the natural landscapes and habitats that make Mission Trails so special.
