Essex IOSH Community - Mental Health First Aid Coffee Morning and Workshop

As OSH professionals and colleagues who spend our days supporting others, we often ask: “We support others — but who is supporting us?”

This Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) coffee morning and workshop offers a welcoming space to pause, reconnect, and invest in your wellbeing just as much as the wellbeing of those you help.

Designed especially for OSH colleagues who provide support to employees and external stakeholders, this in‑person session creates the trust, warmth, and presence needed for genuine mental health conversations.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your MHFA skills, regularly support others in your role, or simply feel you could benefit from a gentle welfare check‑in, you are warmly invited.

What to expect:

• Guided activities to build confidence in mental health conversations
• Supportive, facilitated discussion in a safe and welcoming group
• Practical tools for looking after yourself and those you support
• Time to connect over coffee in a relaxed, friendly environment

This is a free, IOSH‑sponsored workshop open to all colleagues who value empathy, understanding, and peer support.

This is an in‑person event intended for those based in Essex. Please only register if you are able to travel to the venue.

This is your opportunity to expand your knowledge to enhance your professional journey. This event plans to cover the following IOSH competencies: vulnerable workers (technical), employee welfare (technical) and understanding of worker wellbeing (technical) at understand and implement level.
