Essential Tremor Awareness Day - Glasgow

The Carousel of Chat continues to rotate, this time arriving in Glasgow. On Tuesday 23rd April 2024, come and join us at The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, located within the Golden Jubilee National Hospital on the banks of the river Clyde in Glasgow, for a one day event that focuses on Essential Tremor.

We will hear from esteemed and renowned experts in the field, both from neurology and neurosurgery in terms of what Essential Tremor is but also how it can be treated, as well as learning about how mindfulness and well-being can help control tremors.

There will also be the wonderful opportunity to hear directly from the horse's mouth so to speak from a gentleman who was treated with MR Guided Focused Ultrasound.

Lunch will be provided, but don't worry, help will be on hand for carrying things, and drinks will be served half-full in mugs.

After lunch the "Carousel of Chat" will start to turn and you will all have the opportunity to take part in focused small conversations on round tables, and to share your experiences with like-minded individuals.

The message is clear: if you shake, you are not alone. There's more than 1 million with Essential Tremor in the UK, and it is at ET Awareness Events like this that you get an unrivalled opportunity to meet some of those others with the same condition, and to learn more about what it is and its treatments.

The Carousel of Chat is where you all rotate through 5 round tables, each with a dedicated conversation topic and facilitator. With 25 minutes per table you all get the same opportunity to ask questions and discuss with like-minded individuals in a small group environment.
