Essence of Yesteryear

Huong Viet Performing Arts Group, in its mission to promote and popularize Vietnamese traditional music, would like to invite you to our “Vietnam Essence of Yesteryear 11” concert at the Shorecrest Performing Arts Center, at 7:00 pm on August 17, 2024.
The spectacular will be filled with the bright colors and sounds of Vietnamese culture. On stage are graceful ao dai and folk costumes from the 3 regions of Vietnam. Music artists from all over the world will bring alive pentatonic melodies on traditional instruments such as the dan tranh (Vietnamese zither), monochord, Ty Ba (pear shaped lute), dan nguyet (moon-shaped lute).
Please join us to enjoy this celebration of our homeland culture and to contribute to the mission of preserving Vietnamese traditional music.
