Black women have been and continue to be the backbone of the environmental justice movement, and now with rapid hyperscale data center expansion and attacks on the Black Vote, our democracy is under siege.
As the annual Essence Festival celebrates the beauty and brilliance of Black womanhood, this reception will feature national strategies & celebrating the victories of Black Women fighting for environmental justice + our democracy.
