About this Event
Join us on Monday 9th February, with a 12pm arrival at Soho House (76 Dean Street, W1D) for an intimate conversation between Esquire’s Editor-in-Chief, Teo van den Broeke, and one of Britain’s most exciting acting talents, Archie Madekwe.
In just a few short years, Madekwe has moved from rising talent to global presence, building a body of work defined by range, intensity and quiet magnetism.
After breaking through with standout roles in Midsommar and Voyagers, he became a familiar face on both sides of the Atlantic, starring in Apple TV+’s epic series See. Wider recognition followed with his scene-stealing turn as Farleigh Start in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn, before leading Neill Blomkamp’s Gran Turismo, where he brought emotional depth and grit to the true story of gamer-turned-racing driver Jann Mardenborough.
Most recently, Madekwe co-led and produced Lurker, earning an Independent Spirit Award nomination and a BAFTA EE Rising Star nomination at this year’s BAFTAs.
Across film, television, and theatre, he continues to choose bold, character-driven projects, cementing a reputation as an actor unafraid of complexity or contradiction.
Expect an honest conversation about craft, ambition and the leap from promising newcomer to leading man - with insight into what comes next.
Light refreshments will be served as part of your ticket.
Limited spaces available – early booking is essential.
