A bespoke course for ESOL learners to get ready for learning by developing their literacy, speaking and listening skills, including reading, writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar.Learning outcomes include:
Attend class every week and on time. Attendance should be above 70%
All learners will keep a notebook for writing new words/spellings and bring it to every session
Build on vocabulary spelling some common and personal words correctly
Improve use of grammar including subject verb agreement and simple present tenses, identify a verb and a noun
Share ideas and opinions more than once in a group discussion
Complete a form using upper/lower case letters and personal details correctly
The course will run – every Friday – 20th September – 13th December 2024.
This course is open to learners aged 19 years plus (in August ’24) who use English as a second language and who are working at ESOL Entry 1
