Do you have trouble finding time and space to read? Was “Sustained Silent Reading” your favorite subject in elementary school? Do you want to be in community space with other book-lovers without actually engaging with them? Come to the Howell Library to read and enjoy snacks and a hot cocoa bar! BYOBook, or read one of ours.We ask that all cell phones and devices be turned off or put on silent mode so as to not disturb other silent reading participants. If you don’t even want to be tempted by your device, you can set it in a dedicated space for phones that will keep you focused on your goal.
Attendees may enter the building through the Grand River doors up to 7pm when the library closes but will exit the building through the Clinton Street doors.

Sign-ups close 1 day before the program starts, or when registration is full. A minimum of five (5) registrants by Wednesday, January 29, is required for this program to proceed as scheduled.
