Playing with Erik at this show will be the original Sandbox drummer Patrick Hawley and bassist Steve Scariano. Joining them will be John Horton (Son Volt, Bottlerockets) and Jared Bond (JB & The Tornados, Josephine Collective).
Wirebirds (St. Louis)
Wirebirds is the new project you need to know about. This St. Louis quartet brings together St. Louis scene veterans Christopher Grabau, Sean Garcia, John Horton, and Patrick Hawley. Their impressive resumes include a multitude of full-length releases, involvement in various band projects, and collaborations with revered local acts such as Son Volt, Bottle Rockets, Prisonshake, Three Merry Widows, Magnolia Summer, Finn's Motel, Cave States, and many more.
They've got a pile of albums and performances between them, but this is their first time joining forces. With roots deep in the St. Louis scene, Wirebirds is set to show what happens when four of the city's best songwriters decide to make some noise together. Keep your ears open for this one.
